Rosie’s Journey from Internship to Paid Employment

We’re thrilled to share some exciting news about Rosie, one of our incredible team members who has made a fantastic leap in her career! Rosie’s journey with us began in 2022 when she joined our supported internship program. Her enthusiasm and hard work quickly shone through, and a friendly conversation with the wonderful Louise opened the door to a work placement at Eastbridge Hospital’s gift shop.

Throughout her placement, Rosie embraced every opportunity to upskill, learning the ins and outs of the shop while also dedicating time to work in our cafes. Her passion for customer service and her positive attitude made her a valuable member of the team. Even when the gift shop closed temporarily for renovations, Rosie’s commitment never wavered.

We’re delighted to announce that as Eastbridge Hospital prepares to reopen its shop, they have created a paid role specifically for Rosie, recognising her contributions and potential. This is a huge milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder!

The great news doesn’t end there. Rosie will continue to work at our Canterbury cafe alongside her new position at Eastbridge. It’s wonderful to see her hard work paying off, and we know she’ll continue to thrive in both roles.
