Canterbury Christmas Light Switch-On
Join Lily’s on Friday 13 November 2026 as Canterbury comes together to celebrate the start of the festive season.
The brilliant Purple Hearts will perform live from the balcony of the Drapers Arms, filling Guildhall Street with music while the city’s Christmas lights are switched on.
The Lily’s team will be outside serving warming hot drinks and homemade soup from 5.30pm to 7pm. Bring your family and friends, enjoy the music and help us begin Christmas with the friendship and community spirit that make Guildhall Street so special.

Jack and the Beanstalk afternoon tea

Join us for a magical afternoon tea with characters from Jack and the Beanstalk, brought to life by Ashford Panto!
Enjoy delicious treats while meeting some familiar faces from the story. There’ll be time for photos and plenty of panto fun, making it a lovely afternoon for children and families

Trufflus Guided Chocolate Tasting

Join Ryan, the chocolatier behind Trufflus, for a guided chocolate tasting at Lily’s Social Kitchen.
Trufflus is a small-batch craft chocolate business based in Rochester, creating bonbons, bean-to-bar chocolate and plant based nut spreads. Trufflus focuses on flavour, texture and carefully crafted chocolate with a strong sense of ethics and craft.
This tasting is designed to be welcoming, informal and enjoyable with no previous chocolate knowledge needed. Guests will be guided through a curated selection of chocolates, exploring flavour, aroma, texture and the story behind each sample.
Expect a relaxed afternoon of tasting, conversation and discovery, with the chance to learn more about cacao, craft chocolate and how to taste chocolate in a more mindful and informed way.
Alcohol-free Cocktail Making

Discover what really makes a great alcohol-free cocktail in this hands-on masterclass at Lily's Social Kitchen. This goes beyond simple “mocktails” - you'll mix three drinks using premium alcohol-free spirits, aperitifs, syrups, fresh citrus and seasonal ingredients, while picking up the principles of flavour, balance and structure along the way.
You'll be guided by AF drinks specialist and World Alcohol-Free Awards judge Maria Easley, learning how to build depth and complexity without alcohol, and getting hands-on with techniques like shaking, muddling and building drinks.
By the end, you'll have the skills and confidence to make exceptional cocktails at home, plus recipe menus for everything you've made to take with you. Whether you're new to cocktail-making or already know your way around a shaker, there's something to take from this session.
