We’re thrilled to share some fantastic updates from our Canterbury café! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been busy giving the space a fresh new look and we can’t wait for you to come and see it.
One of the biggest changes is our beautiful new counter, designed especially to showcase the delicious cakes on offer. It’s the perfect centrepiece and we hope it will tempt you to treat yourself next time you pop in! The new counter would be very sad without delicious cakes so we’re delighted to welcome Lucie to our team – our master cake baker. Lucie began by volunteering with us in 2018, so we’re excited to welcome her back in this paid role. Her creations are already getting rave reviews and we’re so excited for you to try them.
Alongside the refit, we’ve launched a new menu. It’s simpler, cheaper, but still full of the tasty, high-quality food you love. This change not only makes our café even better value, but also helps our trainees, who are learning new skills in a real working environment to succeed and shine.
With summer just around the corner, we’re hoping these improvements will encourage even more people, both locals and visitors to the city, to visit us. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to catch up on some work, a cosy place to meet friends, or just a great coffee and slice of cake, we’ve got what you need. We offer inside, outside, and upstairs seating, free WiFi, and plenty of plug sockets so you can stay connected while you’re here.
