Back in September 2024, Spencer joined our internship programme with a spark of curiosity and a brilliant attitude. Since then, he’s become a much-loved face at our Canterbury café — crafting drinks with flair, helping us streamline our processes, and most importantly, creating a genuinely brilliant customer experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

Spencer’s journey is what our internship programme is all about — nurturing potential, growing confidence, and building real-world skills that make a difference.

We’ve been lucky to partner with Compass Catering over the last two years. Their team has supported our interns by running mock interviews, giving them the experience and feedback needed to take that next step. And this year, something extra special happened…

As part of a new Compass Catering contract in Canterbury, Spencer was invited to a real interview — and he got the job! 🎉

We’re absolutely thrilled for him. He’s going to be amazing (not that he needs the luck, but we’re sending it anyway!).
